Using wireless with JDS

I am trying to use the DLink DWL-650+ with JDS. Any ideas how to get it or any cheapo wireless card from BestBuy to work with JDS?! ! ! ! !

I know it's more of a SuSE issue, but I thought since this is an "alternative" to Windows, I would have more available for me to leave Windows. Now I have to use my Windows to get on the net, and then download RPMs for JDS. Truth is I tend to stay Windows and not deal with the shutdowns/restarts.

So help me leave Windows and get my DLink to work !

Manufacturers often change chipsets between versions of the same model. This is the case with DLink. Older DWL-650 cards used Prism, recent DWL-650 cards use ADMTek.

You'll have to install the JDS development packages and download the ADMtek driver from here:

http://www.admtek.com.tw/index/index/download.htm

The ADMTEK's 8211 driver source listed on their website is: http://www.admtek.com.tw/download/nic/adm8211/ADM8211_src_105.tar.gz

Their existing linux driver has a bug which prevents WEP encryption from working correctly, but I understand that a fix is in progress.
