desktop authentication fails

when trying to access the desktop throug a ldap authentication, it fails.

i configured the external ldap module at the console, and i can see all the user ids at the profile;

looking at the iwtAuthentication log it says

&&TIME=2002/10/23 15:56:03 GMT+02:00&&DOMAIN=MyDomain&&LOGINID=authentication[/b ]&&TYPE=Auth&&DATA=Login Failed userid not found, check scope, filter and basedn UserDomain /MyDomain

shouldnt be the LOGINID the ID of the user that logs on ?

can someone help me solve this problem?
