studio 5 installation problems on xp prof

hi

i have downloaded studio 5 trial version and am trying to install it. however when i run the exe i am getting an error "This program cannot be run on DOS mode". i checked with similar error messages and the suggested sol was

Open the MS-DOS shell (Windows/Start/Programs/MS-DOS Prompt)

Right-click on the title bar

Select Properties

Choose the Program tab

Push the Advanced button

Make sure the item "Prevent MS-DOS-based programs from detecting Windows" is unchecked

Select OK

Select OK again

Exit the MS-DOS shell

Restart your computer.

however there is no program tab in the properties window..any idea on what to do ?
