Forte for Java Installation

I have recently downloaded the Sun One Studio 4 (formerly Forte for Java) and tried to install it. It keeps giving me an error message stating that it cannot locate the JVM. I do have the recent version of the JVM installed. The message says that I should use the -is:javahome parameter. What is the exact syntax of this command? I've tried using both the command line and the Windows GUI to run the installation, but to no avail. If anyone could provide some assistance on this matter, I surely would appreciate it. My operating system is Windows XP Professional. The install file in question is ffj_ce_win32_en.exe.

Hi

I am not very sure about this, but you need

to check the release notes for the version

you have downloaded to see the "System Requirement".

You need to see if SunOne Studio is supported on "Windows XP".

I have installed SunOne Studio on win 2000.

Also u need to install JDK as well as JRE before

installing the studio, I guess 1.4 and above.

In the initial few steps of the installation, the installable

finds out, if there is one which is approprite and

then the installation is smooth.
