mailstore migration 4.15p7 to 5.2p1, separate boxen

Greetings,

We are trying to migrate user mailboxen from a 4.15p7 NMS install to a iMS 5.2p1 install. Physically separate boxes, the new install is running iDS 5.1 and is fully populated with users(the LDAP layout was all wrong on the NMS setup so this is a completely new rebuild). These users have kept the same uid's as in the old LDAP db. I haven't found any information on how to just migrate the mailboxes over to the 5.2 mailstore. I've done a SIMS to 5.2 migration, but cannot find anything on 4.15 -> 5.2. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Use imsbackup on the 4.15 system to backup the mailboxes to disk, tape whatever. Then get the backup file over to the new machine and do an imsrestore. The iMS backup/restore utilities save the logical mailbox path, not the physical disk location. The imsrestore uitility will then read the users LDAP entry for the "mailMessageStore" attribute and place the mail folders in the appropriate partition.

This is the procedure that I'm using to migrate my users from a single Sun machine to a 280R cluster.
