dirsync on iMS5.1 on win2k just hangs

Hello,

I am running iMS5.1 on a win2k. All was running fine till yesterday when the UPS tripped and the server got rebooted.

Now when I tried to connect to smtp port 25 the server after giving the banner just stays there and does not respond after that.

when I try to do the imsimta dirsync -F -v it just stays there and gets hung up for a long long time and does not complete.

I tried to do the following:

imsimta shutdown

imsimta cleandb

imsimta startup

imsimta dirsync -F

But no improvement the Dirsync just stays there. when I try to remove the share file in the \msg-instance\imta\tmp, they will not get removed due to sharing violation.

my mail services are down. Pls help what should I do to rectify this.
