auto-reply

Over the past few days we have been experiencing strange behavior from our iMS 5.1's auto-reply feature. When a user enables an auto-reply it will work properly when replying to messages from non-local users. However, it is not replying to mail from other users in the iMS system. This is happening across the board for all users who have auto-relpies in place. In the log directory I'm seeing autoreply.trc.##### files containing a message similar to the following

WARNING: Sender <blah.blah@domain.edu> has multiple LDAP entries.

There are (at least that I can tell) only one entry per user in the LDAP. It seems that if the address it is trying to reply to is local, it get's confused about where to deliver the mail to and bombs out. I have resync'ed the LDAP, refreshed the imta, and restarted the mail and LDAP servers. Has anyone had this problem before or can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

-Patrick

I'd start with turning on debug for this channel. If memory serves correctly that would bedebug=3 (maybe debug=-3)in the imta/config/autoreply_option file, does not exist by default.
