Running iMS 5.2 on Solaris 8. The MTA service randomly "hangs". Console reports that MTA service is not responding. imsimta restart gets it going again until it happens again in a few weeks. Any known issues with this?
Of course this happens with the Http service as well. I've tried to adjust the configutil for this but it still crashes once a week it seems.
I have recently run into the same problem.
I'm using IMS 5.2 on Solaris 8 and the MTA service randomly stops responding. Restaring the service gets it running until the problem happens again.
I've updated to IMS 5.2 Patch2 but the problem is still the same.
Has there been no updates to this question ?
Lots of questions. .
1. Are you running Direct LDAP, or are you using Dirsync?
2. When the MTA "stops responding", do you see processes like, "dispatcher" running? "tcp_smtp_server"? How many?
3. How heavily loaded is your system?
4. Have you examined the "tuning guide" available at:
