I hope you have installed iMS5.2 with the Directory server4.16.

In this case you can create the uers using the console..

Affter logging in to the console you can create the users from the usersand groups tab or open up the directory server console and you can create users .

The best and advisable way will be to install iPlanet Delegated Administrator(iDA).

As this moment no user created and i'm using Service.Administrator/ServiceAdmin to login through webmail and able to send email to the same user. My concern is how do I create another user? As I have went through the iMS installation guide and no guide/steps on how to create users, so I'm wondering anyone here can provide me a proper steps/ways on how to create user for my iMS?

Thanks in advance

Titan

Complete instructions are available in the Provisioning guide available at: http://docs.sun.com/db/prod/sunoneI like to use ldapadd or ldapmodify myself. But the console should still work.

Hi.

so u'r problem is that you are not able to create new user.

I strongly recommend that you go through the Messaging admin guide, that will guide you how to create new users.

I want to inform you , that it is recommended that whatever new users you create, it should be done through Delegated Admin. So you should install delegated admin first, if not done so far. Then login as ServiceAdmin@<domain.com>, and then you can create new users, as it is the superuser.

You should also see if the Messaging server, Ldap , Admin server and Web server , all are running. You can also refer to the delegated Admin guide.

I hope this might help you a bit
