Is there a way to group users together in Iplanet Calendar 5.1?
I would like have the option of inviting a group of people by entering a group name rather then individual usernames. I have found the group of calendars concept in the documentation but wondered if this other concept of grouping people is possible. This is a restatement of an earlier question I posted that may have been unclear.

We use groups in iCS. The groups that are used exist in the LDAP. The groups we defined were created through our iPlanet Messaging Server which uses the same user and group LDAP as the iCS server. They work really well and the iCS product is able to distinguish between those members of a group who are iCS users and those who are not (they get an email invination).
So I guess the bottom line is that the groups somehow have to be created in the LDAP - but yes they can be used.

Hi,Calendar 5.1.1 supports inviting groups of people, that are defined in de LDAP. So, mailinggroeps that are made hence can be found in the LDAP, can be used in cal511 for invite.Hope this helps!greetz,MH
