How do I configure Portal Server 3.0 to connect to an LDAP directory using LDAPS?

Does Iplanet portal server connect to an LDAPS directory? If so, are these settings managed via the PDC Attributes (e.g. iwtAuthCert-useSSL setting)?

Hi,

"ldaps" is supported for the ldap authencation.You have to enable the SSL option for ldap authencation in the admin console.

You can't use "ldaps" to connect to the iDS component of the profile server.

Is there any sample code showing how to use the JDNI/LDAP (Sun One directory server 5.2) for login? I like to be able to replace my logiin code in my application with a call to LDAP and let it handle the login. thanksjim
