Problem in disabling the edit option in TabProvider

I want to disable the edit future in iwtTabProvider. So I went to Policy profile page and unchecked the checkbox for isEditable option for iwtTabProvider, then I checked the checkbox to apply changes for all subroles and clicked the submit button.

The profile was successfully updated.

When I login into the iPS portal, I still find the edit button on the right side of the desktop page for the iwtTabProvider When I click the button , the page was displayed with an error message.

Can any one help me out on how to remove the edit button from the iwtTabProvider.

I ran into the problem a couple of times, I still can't remember how it got fixed. Try deleting the user profile and see if it fixes the problem ..

A bug had already been filed with this issue. One workaround for the tabs is the edit button present in the template. To remove the edit button, simply edit the tabs.html & editTabs.html templates under /etc/opt/SUNWips/desktop/default/iwtTabProvider.
