Displaying data in Content Provider channel ?

We have created a Content Provider for a channel using the Quotations provider sample given by iPlanet. But when we try to load the portal the channel is displayed but our new content is not available. The channel displays "Generic Channel Display". Can anyone knows how to display the result of the Content Provider class in the channel?
