Java 1.3 + Sp2

When I attempted to load on Java1.3.1_02, the iPlanet Server didn't seem to come back up. 2 questions

1) To load on a new java sdk, don't I just replace the java link inside /usr/bin to point to the new java directory, or do I need to do more?

2) And if doing what I just stated is correct, will SP2 work with 1.3, or is there something I'm missing?

Any help would be appricated

Portal support doesn't work jdk 1.3, It is qa'ed only with jvm 1.2.2_07 and that is the jdk version you should be using. You can put the jdk in a directory like /usr/java1.2 and create a softlink for /usr/java to point to /usr/java1.2

I am currently running Java1.3.1_02 with iPS 3.0SP3a on a purely experimental basis and it seems to work.
