SMS (short message) support for iMS?

I am trying to implement a system that will send out SMS messages to users based on calendar events and incoming e-mail messages.

The datasheet of Mobile Access Pack of iPlanet Portal Server claims it provides what I want... but after installing 1GB of software I couldn't find any reference to SMS in iPSMAP.

The closest thing I found was a reference to a SMS plug-in for iMS in the manual of the now end-of-lined iPlanet Wireless Server.

Can some kind souls let me know what exactly do I need to do SMS alert (email and calendar) and also let me know where I can have a test drive of the SMS plug-in for iMS if that is indeed what I need?

SMS is not supported in MAP. It is to be supported in the next release. The architecture for the end of lifed wireless server and the current MAP product is very different so I don't think you can use the same plugin.

Having said that I am not sure if there are from iMS team to release the plugin for MAP. It maybe worth a try to post the question on messaging group to check if someone has any information about the plugin for MAP.
