max idle time vs. max session time
In the admin console there are 2 values that can be set -- max idle time and max session time. Does this mean that even if the user is not idle, as soon as they exceed the session time they will be kicked out of the system? If so, is there any way of resetting the max session time counter each time they interact with the system or shutting off this feature completely? This way the user's session could stay open as long as they didn't hit the idle timeout or didn't explicitly log out.

Marshall,
We asked the same questions and the answers are:
Yes the user is automatically logged out when the session timer expires
and No there is no way of shutting it off (unless they've come up with one
over the past 2 yrs).
We countered the problem by increasing the max session time to 12 hrs and
the idle time to 4 hrs.
We've even gone as far as implementing a small pop-up window that tells
the user he has 20 minutes left in his session so that he doesn't start
any new tasks that will take longer than that.
