iPlanet Portal - Mobile Access Pack problems

I encountered some problems when trying to use the iPlanet Portal - Mobile

Access Pack

1. It seems that Membership authentication does not work for mobile clients,

when selecting this method an empty screen is received so username,password

can not be entered.

2. When trying to use LDAP authentication: I defined a user in the directory

using the netscape console under ou=People, when trying to login it seems

like the login is OK but I get the response: HTTP Error: 406

I used the UP simulator as a client.

Make sure that your web server supports at least one of these - text/vnd.wap.wml. Otherwise the Web server will send an 406 error. Which means the content type of the file does not match with the content types that the requester will accept. Set the 'mime-types' correctly in the Web Server's "config" directory. If your application finds "wml" in the header, you must be safe.
