Encryption and non-encryption ips

iPS comes in two flavours, the encrypted version which the core portal plus

the secure remote access service pack or what is more commonly called as the

gateway. The non encrypted pack is iPS in open portal mode.

If you need more info on what is open portal mode, you might wanna go to

docs.iplanet.com and look at the release notes for sp1.
