iPlanet Gateway installation
Hi,
I encountered the following problem during iPlanet Gateway installation.
This installation is done on Sun Blade 100 machine. I have both Portal
Server and Gateway installed on the same machine. Portal server was
installed just fine. I can access the Portal server admin fine.. but the
gateway is not installed correctly.
When I checked the installation log file, I noticed the following line at
the end of the installation..
-
Executing postinstall script.
Creating test self-signed certificate...
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
sun/security/Login
I get the same exception when I run ipsgateway with debug option.
I think this is the main reason why I cannot access my gateway connection.
As a background I am doing a very basic installation with no firewall or web
proxy options selected during the installation. I have jdk1.3 installed..
and everything else was OK(I Hope). I know this is coming from running
"certstore" script from gateway_install_dir/SUNWips/bin directory. I have no
clue how to attend to this problem. Yes, the server installation went
perfect, it is only the gateway installation that is creating a lot of
problems and many sleepless nights(5 so far)
Any help in resolving this issue is greatly appreciated..
Thanks a lot in advance

iPS does not currently work with JDK 1.3.
