We have the iPlanet portal installed with service pack 2 and ssl enabled.
There is a problem when trying to run NetMail (java applet) from the
MacOS systems that have tried it. They are running Netscape
Communicator 4.73. The window "NetMail runs from this browser window"
does appear but the applet never launches on the Macintosh, no error
messages are reported.
Has anyone else experienced this, or successfully run NetMail from a Mac ?

There are some known problems with the applets and the Mac in 3.0SP2. Many
of these are fixed in SP3 which is now available. The Mac requirements are:
MacOS 8.6-9.1
MS IE 5.0
MRJ 2.2.3
SSL connections do not work with the self-signed certificate. Any other
certificate can be used.
