Tab Provider Help

I remember seeing a post a few months ago on how to get the tabs to work

independently. Right now the content is just mirrored between them. I would

like to separate the content between the tabs, but I don't remember how to

enable that. Anyone remember? Also, is there a way to create tabs and

organize the content on a domain or role level so new users automatically

get predefined tabs with content already selected?

Thanks

Hi,

To make the TabProvider enabled for your domain make sure you have selected the com.iplanet.portalserver.tab...TabChannelList in the

"ShowAdvancedOptions" screen at the appropriate level in the tree stucture(i.e either domain level,role level,user level).Also while adding the tab names through the console we can specify the channel names that should appear in that tab as semicolon seperated list.We will be able to get the appropriate channels.

Thanks

In Administration Console, select "Manage Domains" -> "<your domain>" ->

Applications -> Desktop.

Press the button "Show Advanced Options".

Then, there's a listbox available named "Active Channel List Module".

Select "com.iplanet.portalserver.desktop.util.channelist.TabChannelList".

Save your changes.
