LDAP auth

Hello,

we've installed a Portal Server, and I would like to use

an Netscape LDAP on a different machine as an authentication source.

I followed the manual but It doesn't seem to work. It even doesn't

make a connection to the LDAP as far as I can see in the LDAP-logs.

DNS is OK, so the machine is known

I created a user in the external LDAP and I can request info from the

portal machine by using ldapsearch.

Any ideas, or suggestions on what could be wrong

thanks

The info you are trying to save is not stored in the Profile server, we

fixed this by importing through LDIF directly instead of using the web

console, however, it works occasionaly with the console (but i didn't find a

pattern), but you need to get it to work once to get the correct LDIF

file...
