What can iPlanet SSO do?

All,

I would like to know what's iPlanet Portal's SSO capability. It seems

that SSO is supposed to be one of the portal's selling point. But how

well does it work? Is it only limited to Mail & Calander? Can you

implement SSO on URLScraper channel? what about JSP or ASP application?

Thanks for your input.

As far as I know, iPlanet's SSO is more for product integration, i.e. CMS, Portal, App Server but I don't know about cross vendor SSO. I have written a module that takes the login and password of a given user and propagate that to other pages but that only works if a) the user uses the same user/pass info on the remote site he's connecting to, and b) if the remote site uses webforms (i.e. mail.yahoo.com) to authenticateWesYi Shen wrote:All,I would like to know what's iPlanet Portal's SSO capability.
