When does messages get queuing?

Can someone help explain at what point messages start queuing and at what point it bounces mail back to the sender?

Quota is enabled.

Threshold set to the default 90%.

Grace period set to 4days

Messaging Server: iPlanet Messaging Server 5.1

Operating System: Solaris 8

Thanks

Hi,

The answer for your first question is When a message enters the messaging system, a slave program determines to which message queue the

message is enqueued. The enqueued messages are stored in message files in the channel queue directories. By default, these directories are stored at the following

location: /server-instance/imta/queue/channel/*

The answer for your second question is whenever the MTA's were unable to find MTA's in the Domain and the another reason could be if the user storage level exceeds the quota allowed or it exceeds the maximum Threshold level.
