What is the Benefit/Advantages of adopting SUN ONE instead of using the exisitng Java based Web

Sun ONE provides an overall software architecture that leverages a number of the Java and Web Services technologies that underpin the products -- including J2EE, SOAP, XML, etc. The benefit of Sun ONE is that it provides both an integrated approach (for example -- the iPlanet Directory server is leveraged by the iPlanet Application Server which in turn integrates with the Forte Tool set), as well as an integratable approach because it is built on top of open standards -- i.e., you can work with the entire Sun ONE stack or leverage individual pieces to work with other software elements in your own architecture.
