Maximum processing numbers of iAS cluster
Hi,
I made cluster with 2 iAS sparc servers, and took loads to 1 iWS NT server
connecting that cluster. iAS servers are 4 cpu and 2 cpu machine each.
I deployed test programs and set RoundRobin (weights are 200 for 4 cpus
server and 100 for 2 cpus server) loadbalancing method.
In the monitoring window of admintool, I added KXS "current requests"
element of both servers. It was okay that 4 cpu server load was 2 times
of 2 cpu server. BUT those reqeusts sum was maybe 128 all the time.
Belows are my questions.
1. Can I increase requst processing number than 128, and where?
2. Why 128? Is there any reasons for this value?

Your results are very consistent with the configuration that you have.
That's very good :)
The 128 in your kxs is not hardcoded, but you probably do not want to
stress it much over it. The max is 256. You can adjust the value of the
KXS max threads. However, if you want more performance, I would suggest
you try binding two CPUs to your KXS instead of increasing the thread
numbers for the KXS. You can also try out values in the high low
watermarks as it regulates how many requests are accepted.
