Initial Configuration Fortune App
Hi all,
I have just installed Iplanet App and Web Server on the same Solaris
box.
The web server is up and running on port 80 - I can access the default
pages. The app server is up and running. The directory server is also
running on the same machine.
However when I access "https://hostname/ias-samples" and select "test
connectivity" I get a "Not Found" message for
"http://hostname/NASApp/fortune/fortune"
Is there a procedure to get the connectivity working or should it all be
working straight after install ?
Where should I start looking for connectivity problems as above ? When
I look at IASAT I can see the fortune app in the Application section.
Thanks
Martyn

This is more likely a webconnecor/plugin misconfiguration.
Try connecting to your webserver's admin server, select your webserver
instance and click the big APPLY button at the top right hand corner.
If after restarting your web server you still get the same error, then
you need to manually configure your webconnector or reinstall it.

Hi Martyn,
Did you do '$ <install_dir>/ias/bin/KIVAes.sh start' after installing
your App server?
If not, then do that and make sure that 'kas' is running ( ps -ef | grep
kas ) and then try.
Even then, if it doesnt work, then there is some connectivity problem
and you'll have to manually configure your webconnector or reinstall it
as suggested by Han-Dat.
Thanks,
