Hi,
I am trying to install a new certifictae to Iplanet4.0 sp6 . I have
achieved this on other servers ojk
but one reports:
unexpected failure:cannot write
there was an error while writing certificate file
Systme is Solaris 7. I have reinstalled Iplanet and virtually everything
else and gone through working servers with a fine toothcomb.

Have you made a cert request, then deleted the cert/key databases? What
are the permissions ont he cert/key databases?
You should try moving your current databases out of the way, create a
fresh database, and re-submit the certificate request.
