issues starting administrativ tool

Hi,

Does anybody have heard about problems of ias6.0 and "windows NT 4.0

terminal server edition"? Once we try to start the administration tool

there are always access violation exceptions.

Like :

1) The Open Procedure for service "https4.1" in DLL

"d:\iplanet\webserver\bin\https\bin\nsctr.dll" failed. Performance data

for this service will not be available. Status code returned is DWORD

0.

2)The Open Procedure for service "slapd4.1" in DLL

"d:\iplanet\ias6\bin\slapd\server\nsldapctr.dll" failed. Performance

data for this service will not be available. Status code returned is

DWORD 0.

3)The description for Event ID ( 1 ) in Source ( iPlanet Application

Server ) could not be found. It contains the following insertion

string(s): [26/Jun/2001 15:05:45:1] error: CONN-003: socket receive

error (RecvBuffer 1) (conn 0x5448f50, sock 1076, host 0xc0a84630, port

10821)

I was thinking that there are OS problems.

Does anybody has some suggestion ?

Hi,

Was the installation successful (proceeded without any error)? or u r getting this error only when you start the admin tool? Can u run any IAS sample application from the webserver? Was any previous uninstallation Of IAS or any other iPlanet product in the same machine was unsuccessful?

Hi,

We can crack this down. Log the server activities to the respective log files(please review the admin manual on how to turn on the log files) and post them. Meanwhile, please let me know the iAS version & service pack and the NT SP number.

This seems to be an issue with corrupted registry or corrupted .dll file. Probably the installation would have been broken during final stage.
