I 'm trying to link the iAS 6.0sp2 snap-in into a remote Console Server

but failed. I login into console server using the directory manager

account and my url is pointing into configuration server. i had only one

configuration directory. kjs windows display socket error and nothing

happen.

when i go to the iAS server and install a copy of Console server, it

work fine. I managed to bring out the iAS Admin tool. I copied the

ias60.jar and ias60_en.jar files into the remote console server

java/jars directory, still it doesn't work.

Hi Chong Choon Hwa,

I am not so clear what you mean by Console Server.

Assuming it as Netscape Console, I have some poitns to tell you. Netscape

Console is a "stand-alone Java application". It finds all resources, and

applications registered in the Directory Server, and displays them in a

Graphical User Interface. Netscape Console functions independently of any

server, and you can use it from any computer or workstation connected to

your enterprise. Since it depends on the java core components, you need to

select the "netscape server products core components" box when you install

the netscape console. so select both and install on any remote machine.

Thanks,

Rakesh.
