Win 2k problem :Any contact Number I can contact technical person
I'm trying to install iPlant Applicattion server Test Phase II on Wn2k
professional
No error msg and no installation happened. My machine clean machine only
have installed iPlanet Web server 4.1 as required by the installation guide
of Application server. I check all the registry settings and I don't have
any of them..
So what I'm missing here..
I'm trying to do comparision between Weblogic and iPlanet, so far with all
these problems I don't see advantage using iPlanet.

Hi,
You need to set the DNS suffix. To set the DNS suffix-- Right click on
'My computer' (icon on desktop or in windows-explorer), then click on
properties, go to 'Network
identification' Tab, Click on properties, then click the 'more' button,
set the 'Primary DNS suffix' (like india.sun.com), and also check the
"Change Primary DNS suffix when domain membership change" check box,
click all Ok buttons, and reboot the machine. And try to install the
iAS Test Drive Phase II.
Also make sure that you have static IP address. It should work fine.
ps:- iAS test drive gets installed well on win2k, but actally it has not
been yet formally certified on Windows 2000 (for production purposes).
iAS sp3 is now supported on
w2K Proffessional edition. It will be released soon.
