Win2K installation of iPAS 6.0

I cannot get this installation to work. I have tried all of the suggested

remedies up to and including (i) editing the registry, (ii) obtaining a

static IP address, (iii) upgrading the JRE in Web server 4.1. The only thing

I haven't done is to move to NTFS - please tell me that this is not

necessary to install iPAS.

Please can you notify me when you do release a version of IPlanet 6.0 that

installs on Windows 2000.

Thanks, Martin Gilchrist

NTFS is a must. The directory server requires NTFS.

Martin,

Are you having the problem where install runs for just a minute or so then

completes, but nothing is installed? If so see

http://developer.iplanet.com/appserver/testdrive/issues/ and also check the

following workaround:

Workaroundis, set the DNS suffix.

Procedure:- Right click on 'My computer' (icon on desktop or in

windows-explorer), then click on properties,

go to 'Network identification' Tab, Click on properties, then click the 'more'

button, set the 'Primary DNS

suffix' (like india.sun.com), and also check the "Change Primary DNS suffix

when domain membership

change" check box, click Ok.
