Hello my Java friends, I am hooked on Java and mynew project is to see if I cancreate abackground inJava and use that for mywebpage.

1. Is such a thing possible?

2. How do I get started(have no clue)?

3. Does anyone have a sample?

If you mean "Can I create an image in Java and save it out as a JPEG", the answer is that you can. Search the Java2D forum for code to save JPEGs. As to how you get started - what precisely do you want to do? "Create a background" is quite vague.
