It's a bit slow on my machine (AMD K6 III 400 MHz), but it's nice. Finally I like the idea of ppl sharing their work with others. Doesn't matter to me whether it's an high quality 3D ego shooter or just a simple game for pastime.Keep it up ! :o)

I'm a bit astonished how manners changed in some forums (apparently they did). Instead of making fair comments on others work, some ppl prefer to slag it down.

To me it would be more helpful to receive comments, telling me what I could do better next time. I guess that's what forums are for (?).

Best regards,

- Thomas -

hey, I wasn't slaggin' it down, just curious if it justifies a 2.9mb download.

The java.sun forums turned into a shitfest long time ago. I guess it is the lack of moderation and the influx of C++ failures(read stupid people who can't understand the language who think Java is the easy answer for them) and other general failures of life.

Seriously, if you think you want to keep on programming with Java, I suggest you find another, more private community. The only good thing here is the Advanced Language Topics where occasionally you might see something reasonably interesting.

Have a nice time on the Internet.

I played your game. Heres what I thought.

1. The music in the options screen should be different once you start the game.

2. There should be a point system included, as right now the idea of just surviving is kinda a gimick to me.

3. After every 1000 points a powerup should be given to the play. Maybe one that would allow you to temporarily freeze the pyramid. Or one that doubles the amount the blocks move when you push them.

4. You should be able to get to the other side of the pyramid by going thru the other side of the screen and appearing on the opposite side of whence you came. Since right now theres no way to kill or pass the pyramid.

5. The blocks could change their color based on their close proximity to the floor, as to warn you that they are about to lock. Also a sound that warns you would be nice.

6. There should be levels. The blocks should fall faster depending on what level your on. If you add the point system, you could determine when to change levels very easly.

7. For each level, you change the scrolling background, music, and if you have the time.. the way the blocks look.

8. Just make it more interesting and worthwhile. Spice it up a bit.

Just my 8 cent opinion.

Do you have a non windows distribution as well ? (some people whisper that Java is platform independent). The class file will do ...

Thanks a lot, I'll include some of your suggestions in a next release. For a first (fully operational) game, I think I've done well. It's a pity few ppl played it, and even less posted some usefull reply's on the actual question/topic. As for the question if my game is worth the download: ofcourse it is :)

Some remarks:1) That moving background really gives me a headache.2) make control setup configurable, not everybody is on querty.

By the way:There is a point system (bottom left)and the background is supposed to give you a headache or at least work on your nerves...:)
