Anyone ever tried to make a psx game?

I am thinking of writting a game to be playable on the playstation. Does anyone know what kind of language is used or where I can find it?

I only know that Sony sold a developer kitfor the PSX1 some time ago.They used C++ for the games and I don't thinkthey changed that.
