I have the same problem, but running Windows 2000 Adv Server, it seems the JDK 1.4.1 is the problem here, since I could run it on Windows XP Pro on JDK 1.4.0.1

Hi ,

I was also facing the similar problem , where the Netbeans icon at the desktop showed "Cannot find jvm.dll", And I surfed the net and found that the problem is due to usage of JDK 1.4 . However I noticed that I was also having JDK 1.2 on my machine as well.

So I removed JDK1.2 and after that I havent faced this problem .

This is what I observed and might not be a solution for you.

But still you may see if you are having two versions of JDK in your machine.

Thanks..
