JDK version

Hi!!

I am new to Java technology.

When i checked the current version ff.display under DOS COMM:

CAN ANYBODY HELP ME FIXED THIS ERROR?

<Registry key 'Software\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\

CurrentVersion'

has value '1.1', but '1.3' is required.

Error: could not find java.dll

Error: could not find Java 2 Runtime Environment.>>

Becareful with going into the registry. I had the same problem a little while back (in Windows 98SE). I change the registry entry and the problem remained. Finally, I uninstall the JDK, remove all jre entries in the registry, restart windows for full refresh, and re-install the JDK. Long process but it worked fine. No problem with NT or XP tho.
