All SDK files crash when started (errors generated and closed by windows)

Every time I try to start a java program in SDK 1.4 through windows or through dos, it gives me an error approximate to:

Javac.exe has created erros and will be closed by windows.

An error log has been created.

This happens EVERY time, and I was wondering if there was a way to fix it ><

I'm running windows 2000
