COMM API doesnt detect comm ports

hi allthe java comm api I downloaded cannot detect any of the communication ports on my system. Specifically the 'getPortIdentifiers()' method of the CommPortIdentifier class returns an enumeration of no (zero) objects. thanks for your help mouly
i think u just have to copy the file from commapi to the jre's bin and lib...and also make sure u did copy the commapi file to the jdk's bin and lib...
