if I try to connect any w3 page or try to fetch any text from w3 page/ URL

I have been able to get connect to my Web Server/App Server hosted locally into my network using HTTP.

But if I try to connect any w3 page or try to fetch any text from w3 page directly I get the I/O error.

I am using fixed IP and behind proxy and Windows2000.

Please advise. I shall be highly obliged for your kind response. For further information I have tried through changing proxy setting too!!

Hi,

I have done this.I am able to call a servlet from web url and also from lan when my proxy is running on winnt.Then proxy was changed to 2000.Now i am not able to call the servlet from web but i can from lan.

I have been told that due to IP frowarding was not allowed (Network Address Traslation) in my proxy, so you are not able to call the web form your toolkit.

Check your proxy setting and set IP Forwarding enable.

Please let me know the result.
