Java Web Start 1.0.1.01 Windows Installation Package

To install the JavaWebStart client application on a

user's PC, I must disable the proxy; otherwise the

corporate security office considers the application

dangerous, and won't authorize it's installation.

I know that all that must be done is the addition of a

line of ASCII text to the file named javaws.cfg in

the installation directory of the JavaWebStart client.

The file javaws.cfg must be modified within the

javaws-1_0_1_01-win-us-rt.exe installation package.

I failed to reverse-engineer the executable mentioned

above. It is packaged with the Nullsoft packager, NSIS.

Therefore I would like to ask someone at Sun or someone

who has experience with reverse-engineering NSIS

package for help in resolving the matter. Basically,

the question is, how can the self-exploding Windows

installation package be modified so that when it is

installed, the proxy setting would be equal to "None" ?

Thank you very much,

Alexander.

I recently asked for the source of the nsis file, too, but got no answer. Maybe someone from Sun could give us an official answer on that topic? I'm very interested in deploying an app with JWS, but at the moment, I have to manually install the JWS everywhere. Would be nice to have that automated, too!
