j2me_cldc-1_0_3-fcs-src-b17-winunix-14_sep_2001
Hi there,
I have got quite a big question:
I absolutely don't know how to handle to compile a program. I have read thousands of tutorials, but every tells me to change to the %j2me_cldc\tools% directory, and then to palm, but there is no palm in here - I do not understand why.
And I tried to use kAWT, and followed the tutorial on http://www.trantor.de/kawt/ ... but it did not work either.
Can anyone tell me where I get a tutorial for the new version of cldc from? Or did I forget to download any files, please help me I am rather desperate. I have already spent 50 hours to get that work with absolutely no result.
I really would appreciate any help
So long
Thanks
Charly

Hello .
I just DownLoaded the same File
Now,currently this file wont work because you dont have
the j2me_cldc-1_0_3-fcs-src-b17-winunix-14_sep_2001_
OVERLAY_PALM file
It seem that sun dont support this product any more
now,if some one in the fourum could send us this(or if you got it from a freind )Pleeese send me
my mail is yoav@veazy.com
right now,the Midp is the only product we can develp.
the lucky ones which have the KVM.prc and KVMUtil.prc can use it.
Now,it seem that the KVM support more functions than the MIDP .the API seem more comprhnasibe using the extending spotlet and not the midlet and also there is a understanfding when we got a pen down event.
this i understood just from reading and so ,it seem the best way to develop.
i hope we can help[ each other,
yoav
Visit
http://java.sun.com/products/midp4palm
and download MIDP for Palm OS 1.0. Unzip it; it has got some samples and better instructions.
Also download other items mentioned at this site.
May be you were reading old and outdated tutorials somewhere. You should use them cautiously.
Sun's Wireless website is badly organized. No wonder beginners will easily get confused (it does not have the friendly Java look which you find in other Java sites!!!)
Wireless Java with J2ME by Michael Morrison (SAMS) is a good book for those who know Java but not J2ME.
Good luck.
