Running midp on palm
How do i run java programs using midp. I have palm os emulator 3.3 and installed the midp.prc provided in j2mewtk and also a sample application. When i try running it i get an error message as "This application requires Palm OS 3.5 or above to run". Is Palm os emulator 3.5 available.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

I may not be answering your question but ....
The Palm OS Emulator version 3.3 is different from the Palm OS. Palm OS Emulator (called POSE) uses the Palm OS ROMS to emulate specific devices. You must also download the appropriate Palm OS ROM image to use the POSE.
This does get confusing but POSE is just a simple emulation environment. To make the environment work, you must have the Palm OS ROM images. You will need a Palm OS 3.5 or above image to make use of POSE. You must agree to Palm's conditions before downloading the ROMs. Alertantively, if you have a Palm OS device running Palm OS 3.5 or above, you can dump the OS from the Palm device for use by the POSE.

You can download the latest POSE emulator from www.palm.com in their developer section. You can also obtain the latest Palm ROM sets for all of their devices there as well. Downloading the ROM images does require registration for their developer program, but that is free for basic registration.
