Vanessa - free multi-schema validator for JNLP released

Hi,

I released Vanessa today. Vanessa is Venus Application Publisher (Vamp)'s multi schema validator for JNLP. Vanessa loads your JNLP file, checks if it is well-formed, validates it against built-in DTD and W3C XML schemas and collects all warnings and errors. Vanessa also creates a tree structure view from your JNLP file.

Vanessa comes with built-in schemas, but also allows you to use your own schemas. Vanessa uses Sun's multi schema XML validator that allows you to use Relax Namespace, Relax Core, Relax NG, Trex, XML DTD, and a subset of W3C XML schema.

You can find out more at http://www.geocities.com/vamp201/vanessa.html

You can launch Vanessa at http://www.jenomics.de/vamp/vanessa.jnlp

Enjoy.

What's with making your packages expire on 31-Oct-2001? I would never bother with a software package that has a built-in self-destruct mechanism. Are you planning to withdraw it then, start charging, or what?

Hi Gerald Shifrin (aka gshifrin),

I'm more than willing to answer questions about the future of Vamp's tool collection. However, your tone is offensive and inappropriate and I, therefore, won't answer your question.

Please, post future message at Vamp's discussion group if they are not directly related to Sun's Webstart.

PS: By the way, what are your open source contributions, Mr. Freeloader?
