Problem Installing LimeWire

I installed jre 1.3.1 and then installed Limewire. When I try to run the runlime.sh script I get the following error,

Couldn't find or load essential class `java/lang/Object' java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError java/lang/Object

Aborted (core dumped)

Any thoughts? I am not very familier with java so i am not exactly sure why this is happening
