Restore original file date on the server (file upload)

Hi,

I am using oreilly multipart packaget to upload files from browser to server. When i upload file, the date/time is changing to current time. Is there any way to restore the original file date or time to uploaded file.

I saw a jfilechooser applet, which is restoring the date of file, but i lost that file now.I am sure that there must be a easy way for that.

At least in java their is no such method may be some API can do that like one API is available with that you can get file creation time.
