Is java compiler stable?

or the windowNT4.0 on my PC?

I cannot compile my Java appication anymore after I ran the realTV program (one night ago)

the compiler is jdk1.3.1 (standard version).

following messages showed up:

the symbol ####(one of classes) cannot be resolved

the class ### location cannot be found....

blah,blah....

It seemed to be so weird, didn't it?

.............................................................

the operating system is winNT4.0 (pack 5).

the same appication can be compiled on the sun solar workstation.

are there any similiar situations ? I am ready to download the jdk1.3.1 again.

Many Thanks

my problem is solved by a developer's advice.

a program automatically set up the classpath on my PC. javac was searching classes/symbols there, instead of local directory first. maybe it is another kind of benefit.

by the way, this post's title seems not quite right, I just wanted to draw your attention.:)

thanks all.
