Sun's view towards JDOM

Does anyone know what Sun's policy concerning JDOM is?

I hear DOM4J is supposed to be better, does anyone agree or not.

Currently, I'm using DOM and am sick of dealing with nodes. JDOM would be much better but I don't want to walk down a path that will lead nowhere.

Thoughts anyone?
