Installing Java-plugin 1.3
Hello,
I have problem to install Java-plugin 1.3 on the OS Solaris.
In the doc, they say: Set the NPX_PLUGIN_PATH environment variable to the directory containing the javaplugin.so file. On
SPARC, for example, the directory of javaplugin.so in the default installation location will be /usr/j2se/jre/plugin/sparc
I'm using the tcsh, which I don't understand very good but when ever, I must use it.
Actually, I'm not root an have installed the plugin in my home directory:
~/bin/solaris/j2re1_3_1/plugin/
The .so file is in ~/bin/solaris/j2re1_3_1/plugin/sparc/ns4
I try to enter the command setenv NPX_PLUGIN_PATH
~/bin/solaris/j2re1_3_1/plugin/sparc/ns4 but nothing appears when I start
Netscape, ie Netscape is saying the plugin isn't installed......
I think that Netscape doesn't find it because he isn't searching in my HOME directory.
I'll be very happy if you had a solution.
Thank's for your help. :-)
